After the released of windows 8.1 many users have upgraded from windows 7 to Windows 8.1 because windows 8.1 is far better than windows 7. 

But if you are still using windows 7 and don’t want to upgrade due to various reason. If your are using genuine copy of windows 7 its ok you can update it without any problem but if you are using pirated copy of windows 7 you will face problem when you install updates because the windows update comes with Windows Genuine Advantage notification (WGA) which verify whether you are using genuine copy or pirated one and if you are using pirated windows your activation will expire and every time you start windows the message will appears saying "Windows is not Genuine" and you cannot even change the desktop wallpaper also.

Follow the tricks:-

1.        Goto windows update setting from control panel

2.       Select "check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them"

                              

                         

This option will makes windows check for updates and notify you for available update.

Now you can select which update you want to install and when you install update uncheck "Update for windows 7 (KB971033)" file.

                       

Now you can install latest updates without losing activation of your  pirated windows 7.
